1) Select the Right Keywords and Strategically Implement Them Throughout Your Content

The basic foundation of SEO starts with the right keywords.

Ideally, you want to rank for terms that are high in search volume, low in competition, and highly relevant to your area. Once you have them, remember to only include keywords where they fit in your content.

2) Create Shareable Content

If the content is king then backlinks are queen, and one way to drastically increase your page ranking is to attract incoming links from other reputable websites.

Not all backlinks are created equal, and you want to avoid encouraging junk and spammy sites to share your content. One easy tactic for this is to share your content via social media sites for easy, reputable backlinks.

3) Post Content Regularly

Regularly updated content is viewed as one of the best indicators of a site’s relevancy. Make sure to keep it fresh. So, create a schedule, or if you don’t have time to consider partnering up with an occasional guest blogger.

4) Use Video to Increase Your Ranking

Google owns YouTube and heavily favors video content when it comes to ranking web pages. In fact, pages that include video are 53 times more likely to rank on Google’s first page. Use this information to your advantage!

5) Mobile Optimization

As of April 2015, Google has started to penalize sites that are not mobile-optimized by bumping down their search engine ranking. Users are consuming content on mobile devices, and not being mobile optimized is going to affect user experience and conversion.
