The Business Intelligence Analyst role will be instrumental in the growth of the company’s newest vertical and will be working across marketing, finance, sales, and operations to drive growth and profitability. This role will work directly with leaders across the business to provide insight into critical business decisions and will be asked to develop the business intelligence and reporting infrastructure to help manage growth by increasing profits, reducing costs and adding efficiency to investment and purchasing processes.
The successful candidate will be strong in data and analytics, financial analysis as well as business and operations. He or she will be a natural problem solver and a good communicator, able to work cooperatively across the organization at all levels in a fast-paced environment to provide the answers and insight to drive growth. Candidates should have experience in marketing, finance or data analysis.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Phase 1

  • Gather requirements, analyze, create design documents, and perform impact analysis.
  • Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support
  • Influence and help drive the direction of business intelligence development, platforms, versions, and toolsets.
  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance Projects as assigned by Management
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting.
  • Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  • Participate in compensation management, semi-annual incentive compensation payments.Provide financial and analytical support for the incentive compensation accounting and forecasting processes. Respond to ad-hoc projects related to incentive compensation program
  • Assist with the new business process and working with Finance and Business Managers.
  • Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the division’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
  • Identify non-value added processes within the department and seeks solutions.

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in Customer service (B2B), face-to-face sales, advertising sales, or business development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Macros, Pivot Tables, data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects), etc.

  • Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
